[NIJISANJI] The Flawed analysis FalseEyeD used from VTuber Sensei Part 2 (Q&A from YouTube Video)
I completely forgot this still exists so, I've decided to use Blogger as a means to a provide extra context when a simple reply isn't enough.
Not at all! I love interacting with any listeners even if we don't agree at our conclusions. As for your first question, yes, VTuber sensei stated several times revenue was "impressive" or a similar facsimile, a particular bias has emerged in his narrative since June of 2024.
His TL;dr comments are very opinion based. First, most companies use what's called CAGR to approximate growth over the next 1,3,5, etc years.
This numbers are the guide to how they go about setting forecast outlooks. That said, forecast outlooks and CAGR can't account for a number of things.
- They can't account for market volatility
- They can't account for national of global economic condition since the numbers are purely based upon current conditions and speculative outcomes.
- It cannot account for the appreciation or depreciation of their currency.
And AnyColor went through all of that during the 2024 fiscal year.
But that still leaves us with your question. And, the answer is rather bland compared to walking through all the data. In business, there's a term called "In-line."
And that's why VTuber Sensei is wrong giving them a "D+." Yes, they fell short of their yearly forecast. However, the fiscal year outcome is in fact "In-line" with forecasted goals. It's also why their stock has continue to gain traction despite not hitting their forecast.
About earning reports: Anycolor displays a combined total (in bar graph form) of Nijisanji's earnings as a whole. Since shifting resources and projects to the JP branch, there's little point to have two separate bar graphs.
HOWEVER, this is where the FalseEyeD lie (and others) mislead their readers or listeners. They still have to report the EN earnings. And, it's even included in the IR material! (page 24)
There's little point for making it a selling point, especially if they're working to rebuild the EN branch from the ground up. I hope all this answers your questions.
